Saturday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well I am done with January's work...so I am almost caught up. You would think my boss would be happy. Of course not her reply was..."I want February caught up by the end of next week". My response was fine the sooner I get caught up the sooner my life can get back to normal....and smiled and left her office. But for some reason I have this sneaky suspicion it won't. I don't know if it is paranoia talking...
Yesterday I got off of work at 6:30 and ran to JC Penney and splurged and bought some new clothes. Mainly I needed new black dress pants and I just haven't had the time to hunt around the Goodwills like I normally would. So I decided I would buy new ones. While I was there I noticed they had huge racks of clearanced clothes. I ended up buying the pants and three sweaters...all under $50. I also ran to Target and picked up all kinds of things I needed. And I got my Chipotle.
I brought home work of course but I also have a million things around here to do and I have to get my hair cut. I have been putting it off for over a month now and enough is enough. So my day is getting my hair cut and catching up with household chores and of course work-work....what an exciting day. What are your plans today?
Have a great day all...see you later
Happy Saturday,
Due you realize that we are over 1/2 way trough February? 13 days until March!!! Maybe we will get out of this weather soon.
We are going to try to meet Annette and Rick for dinner tonight. We haven't seen them since the 1st weekend of Jan.
Dawn, sending good thoughts to you.
We had an enjoyable dinner last night with friends. We went to Mona's, an Italian place that was started in the early 1900s. It is still owned by the same family. I had Lazania and a salad. Of course, I brought over 3/4 's home. It was better then the fried chicken or the steaks ( which I really don't eat). I also had a special dessert, a Lemoncello cream.
Crystal, it sounds like you are finally getting over the hump with work. I hope they appreciate all you have done.
Nancy? MIA?
Connie, how many years have you and Kay been together? My cousin Abbie has been with her partner Lynn since college, about 30 years I think.
Kim, a housekeeper sounds good. Go for it. I had one when I first went back to work, when I was working 2 jobs. Now, I take care of the house, but I do use the dry cleaners to do Hubert's shirts. I enjoy ironing, but can use the time for other things. Plus, the shirts stay crisper longer.
Sharon, you had the day off yesterday? It sounds like you were exstreamly busy to me.
Lisa, it is nice that you can work from home.
Joan? where are you?
Chris, enjoy your weekend in the loop.
Jason, I hope your aunt's dog is ok.
Today I need to clean the kitchen and bathrooms, and put the dining room back in order. We finished the painting of the accent wall and selves, now I need to refill them. I want to change out some of the stuff on the selves.
Everyone have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Happy Saturday,
Yup, it's a bit over half way through February. February is almost over and 24 days away until my Chiair surgery, before I know it'll be time for that.
Good luck for tonight.
I talked to my aunt via text this morning about the dogs and it looks like they are getting better slowly but surely. The youngest dog is around 3 years old or so, the oldest dog is 15 years old. I love the dearly.
I got back home from Best Buy and found out that my old laptop doesn't have a trade in value, they are going to recycle it.
I'll go over my apartment to see what I can do something about it and find something to do like what stays and what goes (garbage, donate, etc.).
How was everyone's Valentine's Day? It went okay for me.
Have a great Saturday everyone.
